James & Co. Jewelers is the trusted fine jewelry and diamond retailer of over 4,000 clients in the United States and around the globe. Their story starts with its President and Founder, James Yenicag.
James immigrated to the United States in 1980 with his sights and passions set on a career and mastery in jewelry. His drive started at a young age as a jewelry apprentice in Europe, where he worked his way to becoming a fine goldsmith. Upon arriving to America, James went straight to work on 47th Street in Manhattan, where he established himself in the diamond and jewelry trade.
In 1991, James met Glenda Arslanyan, a Yale graduate and certified GIA Gemologist, following in the footsteps of her father, Varujan Arslanyan - a titan of NYC’s Diamond District since 1957. James and Glenda married shortly after and went on to establish James & Co. in 1994 as New York City’s dynamic duo of fine diamond, gem and gold jewelry design and retail.
